Connection through Stories
Pink Chair Storytellers began with a simple idea: women need spaces where they can tell the truth about their lives. When I met Bridget that day in the karate dojo waiting room, I NEEDED support. I was at my breaking point. My truth, at that moment, was difficult.
As our journey with Pink Chair Storytellers continues and we continue to evolve, I try to keep this concept in mind….what if I didn’t have to get to a breaking point to speak my truth? To look for support? To find community?
Why do we need to push ourselves so hard to “handle things”? Some things are too hard to handle and are much better handled by you and your support system.
For many women, especially in midlife, our stories are rich with experience, reinvention, heartbreak, humor, and resilience. Yet too often those stories remain untold. We created Pink Chair Storytellers to tell them all. We want to change the definition of strong. It is strong and brave to stand in your truth. To tell your stories. Not the polished version. Not the socially-acceptable version. The authentic one.
Pink Chair Storytellers exists to amplify authentic voices and create connections through storytelling. When women share their lived experiences honestly, something powerful happens. We see each other more clearly. We feel less alone. And we begin to understand the depth and diversity of women’s lives.
Pink Chair Storytellers is more than a storytelling platform. It is a community built on courage, vulnerability, and compassion.
Every story matters.
Thank you for being part of it.
